Subject: [Clamav-users] Permission changes and STREAM command depreciation
Hi,

We are using Clamd in our organization for catching viruses. It would be
very helpful if you consider doing the following few minor changes or
suggestions

1) Read permissions for Clamd's pid file -- By default Clamd's pid file
(/var/run/clamav/clamd.pid) is of clamav:clamav permission with mode
660. Is it possible to change permission mode to 664?

2) Read permissions for Clamd's log file -- By default Clamd's log file
(/var/log/clamav/clamd.log) is of mode 640? Is it possible to change
that to 644?

Since it's only read permissions, it shouldn't harm anything.

Also, could you please let us know if STREAM command will be completely
removed from Clamd in future versions (as it has been deprecated
recently)? We use STREAM command through load balancer (VIP) and it is
very useful to us.

Thanks,
Thiyaga
