I just migrated to CentOS 5.2 64-Bit and ran into the same problem. The FAQ
suggests installing libgmp3-dev/gmp-devel, yet it was already installed.
For me, simply adding "--with-libgmp-prefix" to my ./configure line fixed
the problem.
