It may also have been a coincidence, but I think not because the clamd 
daemon died on its own and was restarted several times in an unending 
loop until I removed those files. I'm going to verify this later today 
be re-installing the files.

I also run a Solaris 10 installation and the SVCS process did not handle 
the problem well at all. I don't monitor it because it's a lab system, 
but clamd died and was put into maintenance mode. I manually brought in 
the latest copies of main.cvd and daily.cvd, ran svcadm clean clamd and 
restarted it. It ran fine with the MSRBL files in place.
